In Russia, the demand for caviar in the new year period increased by 10 times, RIA Novosti reported with reference to the study of service Rate&Goods.
The network of hypermarkets “the Tape” has sold 24% of products in stores “Magnet” — 16%, in the “Okay” — 9%, in the “roundabout” — 7% of the products in the “Auchan” — 5 percent in the “Crossroads” — 4 percent. The most popular among buyers were the trademark “far East company”, “Putin”, “Theseus” and “Fishing world”.
It is noted that the time of the Christmas holidays the sales of caviar decreased by 8.2 times compared to the last week before the holiday, but still remained relatively high. With the end of the holidays, the demand for eggs fell 20.5 times compared to pre-Christmas sales peak.
Earlier it was reported that in Russia decreased demand for mayonnaise in the new year period. According to analysts, Ozon, sales of the product fell by 60 percent. It is noted that it is connected with the fashion for a healthy lifestyle. Experts explained that customers twice as often in the new year, the company bought Greek yogurt, which is used as a dietary sauce.
