A bill to ban banks from charging a fee for payments for services of housing and communal services (HCS) will delight all the citizens, said the Deputy of the state Duma Vladimir Gutenev, evaluating the initiative. It is quoted by RT on Monday, January 20.
“Because people with different incomes inevitably pay for utilities, first of all it will please low-income part of the population,” he said.
The MP said the initiative is very timely.
Earlier Monday, the head of the faction “United Russia” in the state Duma Sergei Neverov announced a draft law. According to him, it will be introduced in the lower house of the Parliament before the end of February.
Currently, the banking Commission is 0.5 to 2 percent, regardless of how committed payment: cash over the counter, online or via ATM.
