Applying for the post of the Prosecutor General of Russia Deputy Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia (TFR) Igor Krasnov said that prosecutors do not need to expand the powers. On Tuesday, January 21, reports “Interfax”.

Speaking to senators in the Federation Council, Krasnov said that at present the Supervisory authority “sufficient instruments”. He stressed that the prosecutors “enormous” powers.

Krasnov also noted that the reform of the separation of powers of the TFR and the Prosecutor General’s office was effective.

In addition, the candidate for attorney General believes that the timing of arrests and preliminary inquiry should be reduced, adds RIA Novosti .
