Specialist Rocket-space Corporation (RKK) “Energy” (part of “Rosatom”) Rafail Murtazin held in Moscow, XLIV Royal readings proposed a project called “Dash-2” for delivering people from Earth to the moon, do not require intermediate stops of the reusable spacecraft on the lunar orbital station that was offered the program a “Breakthrough.”
Now instead of stopping on the lunar orbital station on the way from the planet to the satellite, the spacecraft should make three refueling — in highly elliptical orbit near Earth, on the lunar orbit and at the lunar base (to the first two points must be delivered to the gas modules).
According to Murtazin, the advantage of “Dash-2” is not necessary in the lunar station, which, according to experts, can reduce the cost of missions to the moon. Start a reusable lunar spacecraft is proposed with the aid of heavy rocket “Angara-A5”.
In January 2019, the historian of Astronautics Jim Oberg said that the Russian space industry over the past three decades indefinitely lost the ability to produce modules of the space station, and to create and launch a scientific mission to the moon and planets.
In April 2018, RIA Novosti, citing a source, reported that the US and partners insist on Russia’s use of U.S. technical standards to establish airlock module for the international lunar station Gateway, which should be the main contribution of Russia to the project and the fact that the Western countries would like to exclude Russia from the project due to delays in technological cycles of manufacturing space technology.
