The Russian Embassy in Geneva has denied the information about spies, allegedly preparing an assassination attempt on the founder of the investment Fund Hermitage Capital of William Browder during the forum in Davos. This was announced by the Secretary of the Embassy, Stanislav Smirnov, in conversation with TASS.
The information that the Russians had plumbers, the Secretary felt inappropriate joke. Smirnov believes that the liberation of men suggests that the Swiss media “once again fanned the article [from nothing]”.
He claims that the Embassy had not been informed about the case of two Russians, accused of spying. According to the Embassy, the statements published in Newspapers of Switzerland, “sucked from the finger”. “We believe that diplomatic passports in Russia are issued to high-ranking officials,” — said Smirnov.
Earlier, Swiss authorities announced the arrest of two Russian spies who allegedly attempted to Browder at the forum in Davos. Information was confirmed by Reuters and the British.
First they introduced themselves plumbers, but then sued the Russian diplomatic passport. The police said that they did not open a criminal case, and men quietly left the country.
In December 2018, Browder was charged with organizing a criminal community. According to the Russian Prosecutor General’s office, the criminal group was created for tax evasion, embezzlement of Russian budget funds, as well as deliberate bankruptcy.
In addition, the Prosecutor’s office said they believe it is highly likely the fact that the auditor Sergei Magnitsky was killed on the orders of Browder. “Magnitsky and other accomplices of the crimes Browder could sabotage poison chemical substances with aluminium connections”, — said the Agency.
