Khalil Arslanova: Ministry of defence of the Russian Federation
The Deputy chief of staff of the Armed forces (AF) of Russia the General-Colonel Khalil Arslanov indicted on two episodes of especially large fraud amounting to almost 6.7 billion rubles, reports “Interfax”.
The details of the charges became known on the meeting of the Second district military court which considers the complaint for the arrest of property of the General.
Of the catechumens in the court documents, the criminal case, the defendant was Arslanov, was instituted August 6, 2013 on the fact of embezzlement of funds at the conclusion of the state contract on performance of works on maintenance and repair of special military equipment. The period of investigation in the case is currently set to 6 February 2020.
According to investigators, the General was involved in the theft of not less than 6.7 billion rubles.
Arrest Arslanova was reported 26 December 2019. Under the interim measures are land plots and real estate objects at several million rubles.
According to the newspaper “Kommersant”, in addition to Arslanova, in the case of figures, the head of Department orders by improving the technical basis of the system of management of the armed forces Colonel Pavel Kutakhov. The investigation found that instead of Russian military equipment troops got equipment from China, which just changed the labels.
About excitation of criminal case against Arslanova became known on 17 Oct 2019. It was reported that the case was initiated as the result of pre-judicial cooperation agreements concluded by the former Director of JSC “Voentelekom” Alexander Davidov and his associates with the Main military Prosecutor’s office. Davydova was detained at the end of 2017 in the case of embezzlement during the implementation of government contracts of the Ministry of defense.
Deputy chief of staff Khalil Arslanov at the same time was the main office of communications of the Russian armed forces. This Department governs all the signal corps of the Russian army.
