The Minister of energy and the environmental protection of Ukraine Alexey Orzhel advised the children of the miners not to follow the footsteps of their parents and choose another profession. On Tuesday, January 21, Glavred online reports.
Orgel said that he has a desire that the children of mining families looking for more interesting and effective direction for the study and future work. He noted that progress develops and technology changes, the number of mines will be reduced since many of them unprofitable.
“I think that the trend of the world says this kind of technology will be in the past,” the Minister said. However, Ariel acknowledged that in some cities, mine is the only place to work.
In 2019 Ukraine coal mining fell 6.8 percent, the newspaper notes.
Earlier it was reported that over the past year, Ariel spent on trips abroad an amount equal to seven monthly salaries — more than 240 thousand hryvnia (about 610 thousand). Minister 11 times traveled abroad. The most expensive trip was the voyage to new York, which was 62 thousand hryvnia (about 160 thousand).
