The President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky promised to dismiss Vitali Klitschko the post of Chairman of Kyiv city state administration (KCSA). About it reports the UNIAN.
During the ceremony of farewell to the dead in a plane crash in Iran, which took place in Kiev’s Borispol airport, the head of state approached the activists. Perturbed by the actions of the mayor of Kiev residents asked the President to sign a decree on dismissal of Klitschko. Zelensky in the conversation stated the willingness to do it. “I’ll sign,” confirmed the Ukrainian leader.
In December 2019, the national police of Ukraine opened a criminal case against the head of the office of the President Andrei Bogdan because of its potential arbitrariness in the decision on dismissal from the post Klitschko Chairman of KCSA.
The mayor of Kiev insists that the head of the presidential office has flagrantly violated the Constitution when he filed a letter to the government, which became the basis of consideration of the submission of resignation. Klitschko stressed that such issues are exclusively within the competence of the President and government.
The Cabinet of Ministers approved the dismissal of Klitschko Chairman of KCSA September 4. According to the Prime Minister of Ukraine, the decision soon received President Vladimir Zelensky, who made the final decision to dismiss Klitschko from his post. On the same day the mayor of Kiev called his dismissal illegal.
