US sanctions helped earn the Russian oil exporters in 2019. Opposition to Iran and Venezuela have increased global demand for supplies from Russia, and the largest contribution to purchases made Turkey and the USA. This is with reference to the review of Ministry of economic development reports owned by Grigory Berezkin RBC.

In January-November last year, exports of Russian crude oil increased by 3.8 percent. If we talk about Turkey, it purchased 4.5 times more Russian oil and 7.55 million tons compared to 1.69 million in the same period a year earlier.

However, due to the reduction in the price of Russian oil revenue in the supply of Turkish rose not so much — with 0.84 billion to $ 3.41 billion.

Deliveries to the USA increased by 3.1 times — 4.28 million tons in the first 11 months of 2019, against 1.38 million tons a year earlier. Revenue grew from 0.74 billion to $ 1.95 billion. In addition to the crude oil in January-November, Russia delivered to the US of petroleum products worth $ 3.8 billion.

Deliveries to China, which remains the biggest buyer of Russian oil increased by 3.8 percent in volume, but decreased by 6.7 percent in the revenues of 63.1 million tons and 30 billion dollars respectively.

In aggregate export of crude oil brought Russia, according to the Central Bank, 121, 6 billion dollars, which is 5.9 percent less than in 2018. If not for US sanctions in respect of other exporters, the decline would have been more significant. In General, the fuel and energy sector brought Russia 237,8 billion dollars — a drop for the year to 9.2 percent. The strongest pressure was experienced by natural gas (lower prices, according to the Federal customs service, 14 per cent) and liquefied natural gas (LNG, the decline 11.8 percent). Oil fell in price by 9.6 per cent.

Earlier the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said that in the future the Republic intends to reduce the share of Russian oil in its own import to 30-40 percent. According to him, Minsk is ready to buy fuel at world prices from anywhere, including from Azerbaijan, Saudi Arabia and the United States.
