Speaking at the world economic form (WEF) in Davos, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has accused Russia of the seizure of territories. About it reports TASS.
“Sixth year in my country goes to war, sixth year as Russia annexed part of the territories. Here we have with you is the new normal,” said the President.
While Zelensky called a vulnerable situation with global security architecture. He noted that the world needs to rethink of international law.
“I do not wonder at an economic forum now paying so much attention to the issue of safety, it is very important for the deployment of the Ukrainian economy”, — summed up Zelensky his speech at the WEF.
Crimea and Sevastopol became part of Russia in March 2014 after a referendum in which the majority of voters the people of the region supported this decision. Ukraine, the EU and the United States refused to recognize the election results, calling the reunification of the Peninsula with the mainland Russia “annexation.” In Moscow deny these charges and insist that the accession of the region conform to the norms of international law.
