In the working group on preparation of proposals on amendments to the Constitution of Russia proposed to amend the Basic law amendment on the culture. On Thursday, January 23, reports RAPSI.
The authors of the amendments were made by the art Director of theatre ET CETERA Alexander Kalyagin, Director of the Hermitage Mikhail Piotrovsky and pianist Denis Matsuev. They proposed to consolidate in Article 70 (about the flag, emblem, anthem and capital) the status of the culture.
The relevant paragraph, which proposed to amend the article, according to the authors of the amendment should be: “Culture of Russia is a unique heritage of the multinational people. It is supported and protected by the state”.
January 23, the State Duma has approved in the first reading the bill on amendments to the Constitution.
The President of Russia Vladimir Putin submitted to the Parliament the initiative on January 20. The head of state proposes to amend article 22 of the basic law, the provisions of the first and second chapters will remain unchanged.
