The list of socially important Internet resources, to which the people of Russia will be given free access, is not made up. About the Agency TASS reported in the Ministry of communications.
According to the Agency, the operators were given a form providing data about traffic volume and financial losses in case of refusal from payment of this traffic. “We cannot consider the sample to populate data in a list,” he said.
The interlocutor of Agency has specified that now considering different approaches, who and how to compensate providers for their expenses on free access to socially important portals. The next meeting in the Ministry on this subject should take place on Friday, January 24.
Previously, the newspaper “Izvestia” reported that the communications Ministry made a preliminary list of services to which access may be free for the Russians. It includes state information resource, social networking, email services, and “other relevant information resources”.
On 15 January in his annual address to the Federal Assembly, President Vladimir Putin instructed to implement the project “Affordable Internet”, which provides for free provision of access by citizens to socially important Internet services.
