Russian specialists will inspect American military facility in Germany. This was announced by the head of the National center for reducing nuclear danger Sergey Ryzhkov, RIA Novosti reported.

The inspectors will visit a military facility on January 28 in the framework of the Vienna document on confidence-building measures and security. According to Ryzhkova, it is necessary to check the information about military forces and plans for the deployment of major weapons systems and military equipment.

The Vienna document on confidence-building measures and security was launched in November 2011 with the goal of developing mechanisms for international security and prevention of military conflicts in the OSCE countries.

According to this document, States parties should regularly exchange information about deployed military forces and means, on defence spending, but also about planning in the military field. In particular, they shall inform each other about any unusual military activities, such as major doctrines.
