The Chinese denied entry to Russia — tour operators have suspended the admission of new tourist groups from the country in connection with the aggravation of the situation with coronavirus. This is stated in the message of the Russian Union of travel industry, reports TASS.
“Yesterday we were sent some of the group checked the visa-free list. Now all the lists are voided, all group travel of Chinese into Russia stopped,” — said the organization. Thus Monday, January 27, was the last day of the reception of Chinese tourists, stop and check-in will take place on Tuesday, January 28.
It is noted that earlier arrived in the country, Chinese citizens will not interrupt the program and to leave Russian territory early. Restrictions on sending groups abroad has also introduced the Chinese authorities, but the relevant decisions are not made centrally, and at the discretion of the regional authorities — “in some provinces (…) quickly, others — slower.”
On 27 January it was reported that Russian airline “Ural airlines” has suspended flights to the island of Hainan, which is considered the favorite resort of the Russians in China, the outbreak of coronavirus. The carrier representatives promised to return the money for tickets to China, purchased before 24 January departures before 7 Feb.
