The contract with the Ukrainian developers made due to the fact that Orbital didn’t have enough experience to work with liquid stages and cryogenic components. Yuzhmash delivers fuel tanks, high pressure tanks, valves, sensors, fuel supply system and supply pipes, wires and everything associated with these objectives, the equipment.
Engines RD-181 for the first stage of the Antares delivers Russian “NPO Energomash”. The contract was signed in December 2014, and the engines developed specifically for the American media.
