The Film “Dau. Natasha” by Ilya Khrzhanovsky and Catherine Ertel, banned in Russia were found in pornopraphy, was included in the competition program of the Berlin film festival. About it “lente.ru” reported in the press service of the Berlinale.

In total, the competition included 18 films from 18 countries. Among them were such tapes, as “Siberia” Abel Ferrara, “the First cow” Kelly Reichardt and “Salt tears” by Philippe Garrel. The festival will take place from 20 February to 1 March. The jury headed by British actor Jeremy irons.

In November 2019, it became known that the Ministry of culture of Russia has decided not to issue a certificate for distribution of serial film “Dau”. The failure was due to the fact that the work devoted to the Soviet physicist and Nobel laureate Lev Landau found the materials propagating pornography. The Film “Dau. Natasha”, which was one of the parts of the project, contains a scene of rape in the Department of the KGB.

Later Ilya Hrzhanovsky turned to who was then the Minister of culture of Russia Vladimir Medinsky with a request to issue a certificate for distribution to all parts of his paintings. He recalled that over the “Dau” worked well-known cultural figures, including conductor Teodor Currentzis, Nobel prize physicist David gross and the artist Marina Abramovich. The Director explained that it was unlikely such figures would have agreed to do the dubbing porn.
