After the launch of the gas pipeline “Power of Siberia” the authorities of Yakutia wanted to create a regional subsidiary that will allow you to take part of the taxes themselves. This was announced by the Prime Minister of the Republic Vladimir Solodov, reports RIA Novosti.
Appeal on behalf of the President of the Republic addressed to the President of Russia Vladimir Putin, and the issue is studied. According to Solodov, the position of “Gazprom” is “is in the stage of formation”.
In Yakutia insist that in the coming years the volume of work in the Chayandinskoye field and gas pipeline “Power of Siberia” will be such that the creation of subsidiaries is appropriate.
However, I recognized Solodov, for the Republic this question is also important because that will affect the taxation regime. “If there are subsidiaries of large companies, there is a more accurate reference to the economic activity in separately taken subject of the Russian Federation”, — said the official.
Together with the creation of new jobs, the development of Chayanda gas condensate field will become a driver of economic development of the Republic, the Prime Minister said in the region.
The gas pipeline “Power of Siberia” was launched on 2 December 2019. Agreement on its construction was signed in 2014. Russia and China agreed to supply 400 billion cubic meters of gas for 30 years. Currently there is a discussion of the construction of the second pipeline with the provisional title “the Power of Siberia-2”.
The Chayanda gas field in Yakutia is one of the largest in Russia. By 2023, the number of wells it needs to reach 335 units.
