A nationwide vote on amendments to the Constitution may be held on the 12th of April. This was stated by the Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on constitutional legislation and state construction Andrey Klishas, said “Interfax” on Wednesday, January 29.
“People talk about April 12, is the date, I want to get away for the may holidays already adopted amendments,” said the Senator.

Earlier, the head of the Duma Committee on state construction and legislation Pavel Krasheninnikov said that the procedure for adoption of amendments to the Constitution will consist of two parts. The law on the amendments will take effect only with the approval of the national vote, and the signature of the President will only run the second part.
