Russia has applied to the main mega-project in South America: “Gazprom Neft” has supplied the bitumen for the construction of a transcontinental railway. This is stated in the message published on the website of the company.
According to the plans, the road Bi-Oceanic Corridor should unite the East and West coast of the continent into a single transport network. The material will be used for laying asphalt pavement 277-kilometer border area highways in Brazil and Paraguay.
“Composition of innovative bitumen adapted to the climatic conditions — high temperatures and tropical humidity. Also, when the WSP account of the mountainous terrain and the future traffic of cars and heavy trucks”, — stated in the message. The company assured that the road will last more than 10 years.
