Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Russian President Vladimir Putin held a “thorough discussion” about the details of the “deal of the century” on the middle East. This writes TASS, citing a source in the Israeli delegation.
According to him, the Russian leader and the Prime Minister of the Jewish state were discussed at a meeting in the Kremlin on developments in Syria and the necessary coordination between Israel and Russia. They also spoke about the impact of “deal of the century” in the region.
Earlier, the head of the Israeli government stated that it would like to hear his opinion about the “deal of the century”. Netanyahu held talks with U.S. partners, and Putin promised to tell about the meeting with the US President Donald trump’s first of the world leaders.
The Prime Minister of Israel arrived at the Kremlin with his wife Sarah on Thursday, January 30. The Russian President and Netanyahu held talks with participation of delegations. The Israeli Prime Minister said that relations between the two countries has never been so good and durable, and thanked Putin for pardoning Israeli woman Naamah Issachar, convicted in Russia for possession and trafficking of hashish.
Under the “deal of the century” trump has offered to recognize Israel and Palestine as two separate States. According to the map, which showed the American President, Jerusalem must remain Israeli capital and East Jerusalem — Palestine. In Judea and Samaria on the West Bank of the Jordan river since 1967, was founded by Israeli settlements. The UN Security Council considers these territories occupied, Israel defines them as controversial.
