A member of the Duma Committee on international Affairs Anton Morozov has commented on the introduction of new US sanctions on Russia in an interview with RT.
In his opinion, the introduction of restrictive measures in respect of the company “Grand Service Express” is futile and unconstructive. Morozov said that the sanctions will not affect the work of the Russian carrier, as operations in railway transportation are carried out only within Russia.
The Deputy noted that Moscow has always advocated the strengthening of relations with Washington and seeks to avoid mutual provocations. He expressed hope that the United States will be interested in the development of bilateral relations.
January 29, the U.S. Treasury announced new restrictive measures. State Duma Deputy from the Crimea Mikhail Sheremet compared the US with the “vindictive dog”, from which all turned away. According to him, us sanctions were the result of economic and political crisis in the country, which the authorities not in forces to overcome.
The results of the referendum in March 2014 Crimea became a Russian region. The vast majority of the residents chose to join Russia. Moscow has repeatedly stressed that the vote was held in accordance with international law.
