Left without gas, Ukraine will have to seek help from Russia. Such assumption was stated by the head of the analytical Department of financial Amarkets Artem Deev. His words leads RIA Novosti.

“Ukraine could turn to Russia on the question of direct purchase of gas from Gazprom,” he said. Also Deev pointed out that the transit agreement with Kiev, Moscow has signed on disadvantageous terms, so “probably not expect deliveries to Ukraine Russian gas at very loyal prices”.

Earlier in January, the subsidiary company “Naftogaz of Ukraine” “Ukrgazdobycha” reported that the country almost ran out of gas. Referred to five major gas fields of the country. The level of depletion of each of them is greater than or equal to 79 percent. Own gas resources, Ukraine is not enough to cover fuel needs. The remaining volumes of the country receives via imports. Until 2015 year Ukraine bought Russian gas, then abandoned it and switched to the supply of fuel from Europe. At the end of last year, the countries signed a five-year agreement on gas transit to Europe.
