The Russian government has named the date of the closure of the border with China in the far East because of the deadly coronavirus 2019-nCoV. The corresponding decree was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, published on the website of the Cabinet on Thursday, January 30.
“From 00 hours 00 minutes of local time on 31 January 2020 to temporarily restrict the movement through the checkpoints on separate sections of the state border of the Russian Federation people’s Republic of China in accordance with the Appendix”, — is spoken in the document.
This list included 16 border crossing points, including road and rail.
According to the document, the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Russia has been instructed to report on the restrictions the Chinese authorities and other countries “whose interests may be affected in connection with the implementation of this order”.
The government stresses that the restrictions “are justified by special circumstances and of a purely temporary nature.”
