The tariffs for pumping of Russian oil to Europe via trunk pipeline “Druzhba” of Belarus from February 1, 2020 will be raised to 6.6 percent. This is stated in the message of the Ministry of Antimonopoly regulation and trade of the Republic (MARCH).

The size increase is based on the forecast of inflation in Russia in 2020 (3.6%), which added 3 percentage points.

The report stated that the MARCH and the Federal Antimonopoly service (FAS) are unable to agree on compensation of losses JSC “Gomeltransneft Druzhba” because of “dirty” oil. Proposals of the Belarusian side had not been taken, so the rates were raised according to previous agreements.

On the eve of 30 January, the head of the MARCH, Vladimir Koltovich said that the parties were unable to agree on the tariffs. In turn, the Deputy head FAS Anatoly Golomolzin said that the negotiations have been completed, and now Minsk can set rates.

Earlier it was reported that Belarus wanted to increase rates by 16.6 percent, however, Russia demanded to justify the method of calculation. To return to the talks in Minsk want to fly when you can consider imposed environmental tax.
