The first Turkish aircraft carrier Anadolu, the surrender of the naval forces of the country planned for the current year, caught on satellite imagery. Relevant photos posted on Twitter channel ImageSatIntl.
In the caption to the pictures it is reported that the ship design has undergone changes after Washington refused to supply Ankara with the fifth generation fighter F-35 Lightning II due to the fact that the latter has acquired the Moscow anti-aircraft missile systems s-400 “Triumph”.

The contract for the construction of Anadolu, the Ministry of defence of Turkey signed in may 2015. The cost of building the ship is estimated at one billion dollars. Construction of Anadolu conducted with the support of Navantia (Spain) at Sedef shipyard, Istanbul (Turkey). The first Turkish light aircraft carrier is based on a Spanish amphibious assault ship-the aircraft carrier Juan Carlos.
