In Russia it is necessary to create a code of conduct for officials, the acting head of the Chuvash Republic Oleg Nikolaev, appointed to this position after the resignation of the previous Governor Mikhail Ignatyev, who said scandalous behavior. On Friday, January 31, RIA Novosti reported.
“I think that it will not be superfluous. The more rules, the better. Another thing — probably, it will be difficult for them to learn,” — said Nikolaev.
Earlier on 31 January, the government of Chuvash Republic resigned after the appointment of Oleg Nikolaev acting head of the Republic. The new head of the region said that they will continue to work with many members of the resigned Cabinet.
On 29 January the President of Russia Vladimir Putin dismissed Mikhail Ignatiev as head of the Chuvash Republic in connection with loss of trust. Before that, Ignatieff twice found himself at the epicenter of scandal: first, he advised the regional journalists “wet” colleagues for criticizing the government, and then forced rescuers to jump over the keys to new company car. The policy also excluded from the “United Russia”.
