Moscow should push Kiev stringent requirements, the failure of which will entail “serious consequences,” said Ukrainian political analyst Mikhail Pogrebinsky in an interview with the newspaper “Vzglyad.ru”.
He commented on the situation with the “ousting of the Russian language” in Ukraine. The political scientist stated about his involvement in this issue, the Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky. Pogrebinsky called on the European institutions, including the court of human rights, to help resolve this issue. He noted that they Ukraine “can not be considered”.
According to Pogrebinsky, the presidential election, he voted for Zelensky. However, if at that time the scientist know what will turn the Board the current President of Ukraine, he wouldn’t vote for him, the expert added.
July 16 in Ukraine came into force the law “On ensuring the functioning of Ukrainian as the state language”, developed by the government of the former President of the country Petro Poroshenko. According to the document, the Ukrainian language became mandatory for public authorities and local governments, educational institutions, hospitals and service sectors.
