The statement of the Russian Ministry of agriculture about a possible rise in price of meat has denied. Reports radio station” Moscow speaking” with reference to representatives of the National Union of meat processors. They believe that the rise in prices for finished meat products will not exceed five percent before the end of the year.
“Export growth is projected at (all expectations) 20-23 percent. If now exported about 3 percent and will be about 3.6 percent — it’s probably a marginal impact on the domestic market,” stated the source station.
Earlier, the Ministry of agriculture said that prices of pork and chicken meat could rise to the level of 2018 due to the difficult situation with the African swine fever (ASF) in the world.
In January experts of the analytical center under the government of announced that this year, milk and meat may rise by 10-12 percent. Milk producers are forced to raise prices due to the annual increase in the cost of raw materials. According to analysts, the price of meat at retail is largely determined by the balance of supply and demand.
