Canada has demanded from Iran a billion dollars for the downed Ukrainian plane

Canadian lawyers filed a class action against the Iranian authorities with the requirement to pay 1.5 billion canadian dollars (1.1 billion U.S. dollars) for the deaths of their fellow citizens on the plane, “Ukraine International airlines”, shot down in Tehran. About it reports Reuters.

The name of the main plaintiff is not disclosed because his family in Iran in danger of persecution by the Iranian authorities, explain the lawyers. Defendants in the case was the state of Iran’s spiritual leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, and the main commanders of the Islamic revolutionary guard Corps (IRGC).

The lawsuit stated that the firing aircraft rockets became “conscious and deliberate act of terrorism.”
