To the payment of Russian veterans in honor of the 75th anniversary of the Victory has allocated 71 billion rubles. This was announced by Prime-Minister of Russia Mikhail Mishustin, reports TASS.
As explained by Deputy Prime Minister Tatiana Golikova, veterans will not have to file a complaint — all payments will be made automatically.
On 7 February President of Russia Vladimir Putin signed Executive order on lump sum payments to veterans of the great Patriotic war. Payments will be made in April-may 2020. They will get veterans who have Russian citizenship and permanently reside on the territory of Russia, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia.
In January, Putin announced that in 2020, the veterans and all equated categories of citizens will receive the 75th anniversary of the Victory on 75 thousand roubles, workers of back — on 50 thousand. Later, the head of the Pension Fund of Russia (PFR) Maxim Topilin said that in total, payments to veterans and home front workers will go almost 60 billion rubles.
According to the April 2019, Russia is home to 1.28 million people with disabilities and veterans of the great Patriotic war, persons equated to them and members of the families of those killed in the fighting; homefront workers — more than 760 thousand people. Directly war veterans, the disabled and those who worked on objects of antiaircraft defence, according to last year alive was about 75.5 thousand.
