The Russian fighter of the mixed style (MMA) Scored Magomedkerimov said he was willing to go to lightweight for a fight with Irishman Conor McGregor. He told this in an interview with Sport24.
28-year-old Russian took third place in the ranking of the ultimate fighting championship (UFC) among the Featherweight weight class. Magomedkerimov admitted that he was comfortable to play in division up to 65 pounds, however, if UFC offers fight with McGregor at lightweight, he’ll make an exception.
“Yes you would gain weight. I used to weigh under 80 pounds, and now, though, became harder to recruit,” explained Magomedkerimov. He also said that not watched the match between 31-year-old McGregor against American Donald Serrone.
Magomedkerimov joined the UFC in 2017. Since then, the Russian has played six matches under the auspices of the organization, winning each of them. In the last battle he defeated the American Calvin of Kattara on the UFC tournament in Moscow in November 2019.
In the asset Magomedkerimov 18 wins and one defeat. McGregor is a former champion of UFC in two weight categories.
