Roskomnadzor has enabled more than two million IP addresses. The Department explained that the addresses have long been used “to ensure the functioning of prohibited resources.” About it reports “Interfax”.

According to him, on the 10th of February blocked more than 2.8 million IP addresses. By the morning of 11 February their number was reduced to 750 thousand.

Roskomnadzor explained that the address information for a long time was not used for illegal actions. It does not specify why these addresses have been previously entered in the register of prohibited information.

Earlier Roskomnadzor has blocked foreign postal service Protonmail. The reason for the block was to use the service for mass mailing false reports about mining in Russia.
