The amount of dividends “Gazprom” for 2019 could increase. The desire of the company to share with shareholders, the money announced by the Deputy Chairman of “Gazprom” Famil Sadigov, reports owned by Grigory Berezkin the RBC.
We are talking about that until 2022, “Gazprom” plans to increase the dividend from 30 to 50 percent of adjusted net profit. Payments to shareholders will grow if adjustments will be applied partly already in 2020. However, the decision is still pending.
Investor Day in new York Sadigov has promised that this question the leadership of “Gazprom” will consider in April. According to the top Manager, the company is at the moment ready to meet shareholders.
To this end, the company promised to send in payments by the end of 2019 30 percent of adjusted income. In the presentation of the event pointed out that it amounted to 21.4 billion dollars, which is eight percent lower than in 2018.
These data indicate that the dividends can go of 6.42 billion. By the end of 2018 for this purpose has been allocated of 6.06 billion, or 26 percent of net profit under IFRS.
Also in the presentation of Gazprom said that the company’s revenue for the year decreased by 4.5%, exports of gas to Europe was at the level of 199 billion cubic meters, while the average price fell by 17.5 per cent up to 203 USD per thousand cubic meters. Commenting on these figures, Sadigov noted that the company did well with a negative period.
Earlier it was reported that at the beginning of year “Gazprom” record lowered prices in Europe. The average price of its electronic trading platform (ETP) in January amounted to 137 USD per thousand cubic meters of gas, and the share of such sales reached a high of 16.5%.
