Russian librarian are owed tens of thousands of rubles for downloading books

The librarian from the village of Sakwa in the Perm region owes tens of thousands of rubles for downloading books for visitors. Material about Vera Savina published “Novaya Gazeta”.

Savina told that the Internet in the library was held in December 2014. First, the government paid for unlimited Internet, which cost two thousand rubles. But then decided to reduce the traffic of up to 100 megabytes a month and pay 300 rubles. In September 2015, the library exceeded the limit of 80 thousand rubles, visitors spent 30 gigabytes of Internet. Savina downloaded for people all the necessary literature, from-for what the woman called “on the carpet”. Also in connection with the debt in the village library off the Internet.

The librarian refused to pay the bill, and the management filed her lawsuit. Savina said her salary is “three something” thousand rubles, therefore, to repay the debt, she got a second job — as a fireman in the local House of culture. There she paid 6.8 thousand rubles. According to Savina, she still pays the debt, the balance — of 42.6 thousand. At the end of January this year, she received a notice that payment of the entire amount she owes by April 1.
