Ports of several countries refused to stop the liner Westerdam cruise company Holland America Line because of the aggravated situation with the coronavirus. This writes the Independent.
The ship sailed in a two-week journey from Hong Kong 1 February, however, the crew was later forced to cancel scheduled stops in the ports of Taiwan, Japan, Philippines and GUAM island by the authorities. Thus, the local government tried to stop the possible spread of the disease.
It is assumed that the ship will complete his tour on Thursday, February 13, in the Thai port town of Laem Chabang. At the same time, the Minister of health of the country Anutin Charnvirakul stated that it will manage refusal to take the ship.
It is noted that the Westerdam is not closed on quarantine, and on Board there are 1455 passengers and 802 crew members — among them infected with a coronavirus. It is known that the ship has sufficient fuel and food until the end of the flight.
