Brands Tinder and Badoo have used to steal money of Russians

Users from Russia, interested in applications for online Dating Tinder and Badoo, often became victims of scams. About it reports a press-service of “Kaspersky Lab”.

Experts of the company up to 2019 found that nearly 1.5 thousand dangerous software brands have used Dating apps. In 1262 cases were Tinder, and the 263 — Badoo.

One of the applications in fact, was the banking Trojan, constantly requiring the user to provide extended rights of Google Accessibility Service for people with disabilities. Receiving a confirmation of the owner of the device, the malware self gives itself permission to steal money.

Another application after the installation is defined in the system Settings. When you start the program shows a fake error message that disappears from the list, but after a time is returned to display Intrusive advertising. Often scammers use these apps to collect personal data of Russians.

According to experts, “Kaspersky”, there are phishing scams in the correspondence. One of the common tactics — the user meets a girl, she offers to go to the movies, choose a cinema and a session and sends a link to the armor. If the user pays for the tickets, the money goes to the fraudsters and the communication ends.

Earlier it was reported that Tinder will introduce a feature to alert police about dangerous situations on a date. It will inform the police of their whereabouts in case of emergency and record information about where and with whom the scheduled date.
