The President of Russia Vladimir Putin supported the proposal to make the Constitution a ban on the alienation of Russian territory. He stated this at a meeting with the working group on preparation of amendments to the Constitution of Russia, reports “Interfax”.
“We have negotiations with our partners on some issues, but the idea itself I like it,” the Russian leader said, commenting on the proposal of actor Vladimir Mashkov included in the group. The head of state added that this issue should be given consideration by the lawyers. “Ask them to identify it properly”, — he explained.
During the same meeting, Putin proposed to hold the vote on the adoption of the amendments on a weekday, which will be announced this weekend. According to unofficial data, as the primary date consider on April 22.
Earlier in February discussed the possibility of amendment, establishing the principle of “Federal territory”. We are talking about cities and territories with direct subordination to the Federal center on military and strategic targets, as well as parks and other facilities in General.
The Russian leader announced a plan to change the Constitution in the address to the Federal Assembly on 15 January, the authors of the amendment intend to implement it by may or refuse in case of negative result of nationwide voting.
