The state’s stake in Moscow’s Sheremetyevo airport sell in private hands — a request for a transaction submitted “Sheremetyevo holding” that hold 66.1 percent of shares, write “Vedomosti”.
The company decided to use the previously purchased call option — a contract to purchase an asset at a predetermined price in the future. In this case the option gives the right of redemption of 30.46 per cent of the airport, owned by the Federal property management Agency.
The parent company “Sheremetyevo holding” is registered in Cyprus TPS Avia Holding, owned by the structures of businessmen Alexander Ponomarenko and Alexander Skorobogatko.
Control of Sheremetyevo TPS Avia Holding has received in 2017 as a result of the consolidation of the assets of the airport. Then she owned separate facilities on the territory of Sheremetyevo were converted into shares of the air node. A private company undertook to invest in the airport and build several facilities, including a new passenger terminal.
By the end of 2019 Sheremetyevo ranked eighth in Europe in terms of passenger traffic, maintenance of 49.9 million people.
