In Moscow, the winter has ended and the transition to spring. This was announced by head of the laboratory of climatology Institute of geography RAS Vladimir Semenov in conversation with NTV.
“I think winter is over, and we are to some extent moving in the spring, frost, I think, will be gone. Even if the invasion of cold Arctic masses, the high warm sun, clear weather, and already things are starting to melt,” said Semenov.
According to him, the warming associated with the transport of atmospheric air from the North Atlantic to the continent. This warm weather will last until the end of February and in March “has come and the astronomical and the calendar spring will come a lot of heat.”
Earlier it became known that in the Central part of Russia again expected temperature records. So, on Tuesday, February 18, we could beat the record of 71 years ago, when meteorologists recorded a plus of 4.4 degrees. Meteorologists said that the temperature records next week can expect the inhabitants of such cities as Orel, Tver, Kursk and others.
