President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has considered the latest talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Sochi peculiar. About it reports BelTA news Agency.
According to the Belarusian leader, the form of the negotiations was unusual: first, the heads of state met for Breakfast and continued meeting in this format for about a half hour. In addition, Lukashenko said that he discussed with Putin the issues of the last century, then modern threats in the region and other parts of the world.
“I carefully maneuvered the conversation to the fact that together we have done a lot,” he revealed Lukashenko details of the meeting. He said that was also affected by problems in the oil sector.
Negotiations of Russian and Belarusian leaders on matters of integration in the framework of the Treaty on the Union state and the cooperation in the oil and gas sector held on 7 February in Sochi. Lukashenko said that the meeting will be for the parties the moment of truth.
The talks were also attended by the Deputy head of the Russian presidential administration Dmitry Kozak, General Director of Rosatom Alexey Likhachev and the Russian Ambassador in Belarus Dmitry Mezentsev. From the Belarusian party, first Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Krutoy, Ambassador Vladimir Semashko, energy Minister Victor Karankevich and the Chairman of the concern “Belneftekhim” Andrey Rybakov.
