Lukashenko suggested to join Russia to Belarus

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko suggested that the format of integration, in which Russia is a part of Belarus. It is reported in your Telegram-the Kremlin pool journalist Dmitry Smirnov.

“A single state is possible — if Russia joins in structure of Belarus, if the Belarusian President will be President of this United States. If the Russians we have this alternative offered, they could not refuse”, — said the Belarusian leader.

Lukashenka also expressed his opinion that Russian President Vladimir Putin has no purpose to stay in power due to the accession of Belarus. “And if there were we two years ago we agreed: no occurrence of Belarus to Russia can not be”, — he said.

February 12, Bloomberg reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin allegedly offered Belarusian counterpart to unite Russia and Belarus to create a superpower. Lukashenko, according to the Agency, refused to agree to such a plan.

Earlier in February, talks were held between Putin and Lukashenko on the integration in the framework of the Treaty on the Union state and the cooperation in the oil and gas sector. The Belarusian leader stated that the meeting will be for the parties the moment of truth. After talks in the Kremlin stressed that Russia and Belarus will remain sovereign States.

Moscow and Minsk fail to agree on Russian oil supplies to Belarusian refineries. Because of this, Lukashenka ordered to look for possible alternative supplies. Also, the Belarusian leader has accused Russia in “Kitka” in Gaza, and claims that Moscow wants to sell its oil at prices higher than the world.
