Putin expressed Zelensky condolences in connection with death of Ukrainians near Pskov

Russian President Vladimir Putin in a telephone conversation with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky expressed his condolences in connection with death of eight Ukrainians in an accident in the Pskov region. This was reported by the press service of the Kremlin.

“Vladimir Putin expressed his condolences in connection with death of 13 Feb of Ukrainian citizens in a traffic accident in the Pskov region”, — stated in the message.

The accident, which killed citizens of Ukraine, occurred on the highway St. Petersburg — Nevel on the territory of the Pustoshkinsky district, near the village of Rudo. Injured two people, was hospitalized. As TASS reported in the health Committee of the Pskov region, one of the victims — a citizen of Belarus, the Ukraine.

Presumably, the accident occurred because of the driver of the minibus was driving in the opposite lane and collided with a Peterbilt. Apparently, the driver fell asleep at the wheel, however, the official preliminary cause of the accident is still unknown. Upon accident criminal case is brought.
