“Gazprom” gave advice to the US government in response to the words of the American Secretary of energy Dan Bruyette about the inability of Russia to independently finish the construction of the pipeline “Nord stream-2”. “Never say never”, — said the head of the press service of “Gazprom” Sergei Kupriyanov.
Yesterday, 15 February, Bruyette said that Russia would not be able to finish the construction “Nord stream-2”, because it has no need for this technology. “If they come up with something, we’ll see. But I don’t think it’s as simple as talking about it,” said the American Minister.
Earlier in February, Gazprom announced plans to launch the “Nord stream-2” to the end of 2020. A similar time frame and called the President of Russia Vladimir Putin. According to him, the gas pipeline will be reached by the end of this year or early next.
In December 2019, the United States imposed new sanctions against the “Nord stream-2”. Washington demanded from companies, the leading pipe-laying, immediately stop construction of the pipeline. The result is a Swiss company Allseas announced the termination of the project.
