Russia will not be able to finish the pipeline “Nord stream-2,” said U.S. energy Secretary Dan Browett. His words lead Agency Bloomberg.
Bruyette believes that the delay in the construction of the pipeline will be large, since Russia has no technologies that are suitable for completion of the work. “If they come up with something, we’ll see. But I don’t think it’s as easy as they say about it”, — he stressed.
According to Bruyette, the Americans were annoyed that Germany and other EU countries “rely on Russian” in this issue. He also said that Washington has repeatedly talked about the need to reduce energy dependence of Europe from Russia.
Earlier in February, Gazprom announced plans to launch the “Nord stream-2” to the end of 2020. A similar time frame and called the President of Russia Vladimir Putin. According to him, the gas pipeline will be reached by the end of this year or early next.
In December 2019, the United States imposed new sanctions against the “Nord stream-2”. Washington demanded from companies, the leading pipe-laying, immediately stop construction of the pipeline. The result is a Swiss company Allseas announced the termination of the project.
