Part of the Park in the American city of Lakeland, Florida, was closed for visitors due to Orgy Florida striped snakes. This publication reports Unilad.

Frightened local residents complained several times to the Department of parks and recreation areas often encounter snakes in the Park near lake Hollingsworth. Employees of the organization together with colleagues from the Department of public works found that the snakes began mating season, and fenced area concentrations of snakes warning tape.

They put up special signs warning Park visitors about the presence of snakes. “Florida striped snakes are an important part of the ecosystem, cannot be disturbed. This is done to protect the Park and visitors, and the serpent,” written on the signs.

Representatives of the Department have published a post in Facebook which explained that the snakes are gathered for mating. “They are not venomous and usually not aggressive if people don’t bother them. When mating is finished, they will spread”, — stated in the message. The Department does not exclude the existence of other varieties of snakes in this area.

The Florida striped snakes — endemic species that live mostly in the aquatic environment. Usually they can be seen resting in tree branches above water, or basking on the beach. These snakes reach an average of 60 to 106 inches in length, though some individuals reach 160 cm. The mating season is lasts from mid-winter until spring.

Earlier it was reported that in the Thai province of Surat Thani, caught king cobras, which are mated in front of the crowd. Specialists assisted more than 50 residents of the village for about an hour catching snakes, and then brought the reptiles to the pond and released into the wild.
