Party Zelensky refused financing due to coronavirus

Ukrainian party “the servant of the people” refused government funding by 2020, said its Chairman, Alexander Kornienko. About it reports a press-service of the political force in his Telegram channel.

Korniyenko asked that the government sent money to the Stabilization Fund in order to distribute them to the needs of Ukrainian doctors, who are struggling with the coronavirus.

“”Public servants” also urged all the parliamentary parties, which by law are funded from the budget, to do the same. Because the total amount allocated by law for activities of parties, is 212,6 million hryvnia (about 7.5 million U.S. dollars),” — said the Chairman of the party of President Vladimir Zelensky.

The politician said that for this money the Ukrainian authorities will be able to provide physicians with the proper amount of PPE and implement surcharges for work in a pandemic.

According to the latest data, Ukraine had contracted the coronavirus 156 people. Throughout the country until April 24, declared a state of emergency and imposed quarantine, for non-compliance which establishes criminal and administrative liability. All entertainment venues, schools and universities, as well as non-food shops are closed, citizens are asked not to leave their homes. In the largest cities is limited public transport.
