The mayor of Sochi, Alexey Kopaigorodsky asked the Russian tourists not to come to the city in the near future in connection with the outbreak of coronavirus. The message he posted on his page in Instagram.
According to him, currently, all Russians “vitally important” to minimize any contact, in particular, next week, from 28 March to 5 April, announced by President Vladimir Putin after hours.
“A separate request to potential guests of the resort to understand the situation and to refuse to visit Sochi at least for the next week,” said the mayor. Kopaigorodsky also advised subscribers to enjoy fellowship with loved ones and wished them not to be sick.
According to the latest data, in Sochi officially identified five patients with COVID-19, only in the Krasnodar region — nine. In the region from 26 March stopped operation of all facilities of entertainment, physical culture and sports, cinemas, children’s centers and leisure establishments, cafes, in shopping malls, and sightseeing tour.
On 25 March it was reported that Crimea has decided to keep from the tourists during a pandemic coronavirus. The head of the Republic Sergey Aksenov instructed the Ministry of resorts and tourism of the Republic not to take actions to increase the tourist flow in April.
Russia recorded 658 cases, 410 of them — in Moscow. The total number of infected people in the world exceeded 428 thousand people; 18.9 thousand people were killed, 109,1 thousand — cured.
