American heavyweight Daniel Cormier believes that the ultimate fighting championship (UFC) will conduct superfights every week after the end of quarantine. He told this in an interview with the former champion of the organization Briton Michael Bisping in the podcast Believe You Me.
Cormier believes that in this way the promotion will attempt to reverse the financial losses from the outbreak of coronavirus. “Follow superfight for superbeam filled with stars card. It’s like the UFC of old, when they gave supercede almost every couple of months,” says the fighter.
Because of the ban on holding mass events in several States and recommendations of the US government UFC refused to conduct three tournaments in March. This organization is not configured to carry the UFC 249, where in the main fight will meet Russian Khabib Nurmagomedov and American Tony Ferguson. According to the journalist of MMA Fighting, the promotion may hold the tournament in Florida. The father of Russian fighter abdulmanap Nurmagomedov is convinced that in the USA the UFC 249 will not take place.
Cormier is a former champion of the organization in heavy weight. He also was ranked as the top UFC fighters regardless of weight categories.
