The Russians recalled the illegality of sending workers on unpaid leave

The Ministry of labour reminded the Russians about the illegality of sending workers on unpaid leave, says owned by Grigory Berezkin the RBC.

The Ministry noted that the unpaid leave the employee can take the initiative. In that case, if the employer insists on the employee leave at his own expense, should contact the labour Inspectorate. The Ministry also added that the worker can complain to the court and to the Prosecutor’s office.

In connection with introduction in Russia of quarantine measures to combat the spread of coronavirus infection some employers are sending employees to unpaid leave, or are forced to write a letter of resignation at his own request, the newspaper writes.

The week before April 3, announced after hours on order of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin. This is done in order to contain the spread of coronavirus. As of March, 30, in Russia there are officially 1836 infected, most of them located in Moscow.

In the capital region citizens were advised not to leave home without urgent need. All the bars, restaurants, beauty salons and fitness centers are temporarily closed. In the normal mode continue to operate grocery stores, pharmacies, veterinary centres and mobile shops, dental clinics serve only emergency patients, also cancelled non-urgent operations.
