Turkey becomes the first country to open for Russian tourists at the end of the pandemic coronavirus. This opinion was expressed by the President of the world economic forum (WEF) Bulut bagchi, reports “Interfax”.
According to the Ministry of tourism of Turkey, last year the country was visited by 51,7 million tourists and most of them (over seven million) were Russians. Followed by German citizens (five million), Bulgaria (2.7 million), the UK (2.56 million people).
After the stabilization of the country in the first place will open for the Russians — if between Russia and Turkey will not have political conflicts, said bagchi.
The President of the WEF added that during a pandemic in Turkey closed 80 percent are involved in tourism companies, employing about a million people. Employees were sent on vacation until the beginning of the summer season. However, according to bagchi, even if the outbreak is completely stopped by June, the tourist flow will be restored not earlier than August. The maximum demand for travel is expected in the period from August to November.
At the end of March, Turkey has stopped air communication with all countries in the fight against the pandemic coronavirus. As of April 1, the country has recorded more than 13.5 thousand cases of infection, died of 214 people.
